the Superintendent. The Office is charged with administering
the investigative and disciplinary processes for the Division
of State Police. The primary mission of the Office of Professional
Standards is to assure that the Division members meet the
highest standards of integrity and ethical performance.

Affairs Investigation Bureau The Internal Affairs
Investigation Bureau is responsible for the investigation
of misconduct complaints received against sworn members of
the Division.
At the completion of all investigations, the Office of Professional
Standards informs the complainant of the findings, and the
investigation becomes a permanent record of the New Jersey
State Police.
