Equine Testing Laboratory

The Equine Testing Laboratory provides testing of biological samples taken from Standard bred and Thoroughbred racehorses, tested after pari-mutuel wagering at the state’s racetracks: Meadowlands, Freehold, Atlantic City and Monmouth Park. The laboratory is responsible for a human drug-testing program to facilitate safety in the sport and analyzes evidence submitted by the State Police Horse Racing Unit. The service specializes in deploying analytical technologies that enforce the medication rules of the NJ Racing Commission.
