Youth Leadership Safety Program Course
The New Jersey State Police, Field Operations Sections, Operations Safety Bureau, Community Services Unit will conduct a forty-hour (40) training course to be held at the Atlantic County Training Center, Egg Harbor, New Jersey, during the week of March 8, 2010 through March 12, 2010 commencing at:
8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
The Youth Leadership Safety course is a week-long school and is a collaborative effort designed for grade school students. It offers a classroom educational safety awareness curriculum with strategies focusing on the development of social competence, communication skills, respect, responsibilities, decision- making, bullying and conflict resolution. This course is recognized and sponsored in part by the New Jersey Association of School Resource Officers.
Officers who have received certifications and are currently certified in one of the following school-based programs, such as the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) and/or the Gang Resistance Education and Training (GREAT) are eligible to attend an eight-hour (8) familiarization and adaption training day to be held only on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
