Case Information

The victim was found near Delancy Street exit in Newark, New Jersey on May 11, 1996. Victim was living on Delancy Street under the Routes 1 and 9 bridge.

The victim has a mustache and grey beard. He has surgical scars on his lower left leg and upper right leg with metal hardware. He also had no teeth in his mouth. He was wearing a winter coat, dress pants, long sleeve shirt, a blue hooded sweatshirt and two jackets. He carried cigarettes, a voltage tester, can opener and ear plugs.

The victim is known by people in the area as "Wayne" and is also known to walk on the highway. Victim was possibly an engineer and possibly lost his wife in a house fire in Newark, New Jersey. Victim cashed change at the Penn Federal Savings Bank on Wilson Avenue in Newark, New Jersey and spent hours in the lobby.

The possible last name of the victim is "Campbell". He may have lived at one time off of Exit 7 of the New Jersey Turnpike (Bordentown).
