Pennsville, N.J. - The New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit arrested Anu-Malik Johnson, 21, and Johnathon Martin, 31, both of York, PA, who were wanted for homicide and attempted homicide in two unrelated incidents.
Johnson was wanted by the York County District Court for allegedly shooting and killing a man and injuring a woman on December 2. Martin was wanted by the York County District Court for allegedly shooting at a moving vehicle and striking two occupants on December 3.
State Police detectives from the Fugitive Unit were contacted by the U.S. Marshals Service Middle PA Regional Fugitive Task Force (RFTF)- York Division and advised that Johnson and Martin were possibly in New Jersey. An investigation revealed that they were staying at a residence in Pennsville, N.J.
Earlier today, members of the State Police Fugitive Unit and K-9 Unit with assistance from the U.S. Marshal Service NY/NJ RFTF- Camden Division and US Marshal Service RFTF- York Division located Johnson and Martin at the residence in Pennsville and arrested them without incident.
Anu-Malik Johnson and Johnathon Martin were lodged in Salem County Jail pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
Charges are mere accusations and the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
